This is a square format detail from my BLUE POPPIES SUNRISE, a semi abstract landscape textural impressionist impasto palette knife oil painting from my BLOOMING PLANETS series.
I painted this landscape into a semi abstract manner, in impasto technique with bold, explosive palette knife strokes that create those almost sculptural textures of vibrant, saturated, colorful oil paints that I love so much.
