This is a horizontal format detail from my work entitled ''The two of us''. This textural impasto palette knife oil painting is part of my ongoing series BLOOMING PLANETS and it is an allegory of love, hope and faith.
The two white trees symbolize two persons in love who strongly believe in the sacred nature of beauty. They achieve happiness through their love and faith.
It is all about beauty and happiness ... magical rounded hills of red poppies seen between two white trees and the sunrise reflecting in the sea.
I painted this semi abstract landscape in impasto technique with bold, explosive palette knife strokes that create those almost sculptural textures of vibrant, saturated, colorful oil paints that I love so much.
