''PARIS DAWN - view from Notre Dame towers'' is a commissioned textural impasto palette knife oil painting for an art collector from Chicago, IL,U.S.
Painted many times this Paris panoramic view during the years, inspired by the Paris west view seen from the tower of Notre-Dame, with the river Seine and the bridges Petit Pont and Pont St Michel. In the distance can be seen the iconic Eiffel Tower and also the dome of Dome church, within the Hotel des Invalides. Hope this view will be reachable soon again.
This palette knife oil painting is part of my series ''Abstract cityscapes''. I started this series of abstract cities many years ago and it is a recurrent theme for me. I love to paint abstract cityscapes under bold, vivid, sometimes tormented skies - yellow, pink, purple, orange, red, blue, turquoise, even green skies, sometimes skies ''inhabited'' by huge sun or full moon...
