Artist's Description
Barcelona from Parc Guell in full moon light and in sunrise light. One work is from last summer and another one I painted in 2017. These are two works from my series of Barcelona paintings with view from Park Guell.
Both paintings treat the same subject in different lights. In the foreground I painted the serpentine mosaic bench of Gaudi, then it can be seen the top of the Casa del Guarda conceived also by Gaudi and, in the distance, on the sea background the spectacular cathedral Sagrada Familia.
From my series of Barcelona paintings I started in 2010 , inspired by my travels to this amazing city. I was always impressed by the beauty of Barcelona ... the richness of the colors, the incredible Gaudi architecture... One of the moments I'll never forget was when I saw the entire Barcelona panoramic view from Park Guell.

This is a great concept Ana! It reminds me of Michelangelo's sculpture Dawn and Dusk. Each is a very fine work on it's own accord, and yet their juxtaposition seems to increase their impact. LF!!
