I painted many abstract interpretations of this scene of the gorgeous sunset from Oia, Santorini, Greece, but this time I painted a floral sky, a sunset sky blooming of abstract colorful flowers. :)
Oia sunset, Santorini sunset ... there is something palpable about it's breathtaking beauty ... I felt I can touch the sun when I was there... I painted this work with this feeling in my soul - that I was there, where, if I wanted, I'd can touch the sun.
First time I visited the Greek island Santorini in 2010 and this summer ( in june 2017 ), after 7 years, I was again there to let my soul and eyes get inspiration of the beauty of this place.
