I envisioned this work as a metaphor of two lovers ( the two Cypress trees ) standing one by each other charmed by the magic, surreal moon light ... a night when any dream can become real ...
THE TWO OF US - POPPIES ROUNDSCAPE is a textural impressionist impasto palette knife oil painting from my BLOOMING PLANETS series. I painted this landscape into a semi abstract manner, in impasto technique with bold, explosive palette knife strokes that create those almost sculptural textures of vibrant, saturated, colorful oil paints that I love so much.
This was a commissioned work I painted last month for a collector in U.S.
