I was inspired to paint this modern impressionist painting while I traveled to the beautiful island Procida, in Italy. Procida (Italian pronunciation: [ˈprɔːtʃida]) is one of the Flegrean Islands off the coast of Naples in southern Italy. The island is between Cape Miseno and the island of Ischia. With its tiny satellite island of Vivara, it is a comune of the Metropolitan City of Naples, in the region of Campania.

Marina Corricella is the oldest village of Procida. Characteristic, beautiful and romantic, arranged in an amphitheater on the sea and surrounded by nets lying on the dock, this small fishing village is so peaceful. The smell of the sea, the narrow streets, unique architecture...
